About Us

The Bay Area Birth Team:

Liz is the owner/manager of  Bay Area Birth. She is a happily married mother of 6 children, a licensed vocational nurse with 14 years experience in the hospital setting, is a birth doula, has attended births for over 4 years now totalling over 90 births of experience, and is a CPM, or certified professional midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives, and a Licensed Midwife in the state of Texas.

Liz has a calm manner and deep trust in birth that brings peace and comfort to her clients during pregnancy and childbirth.  She has a listening ear and a gift for helping women and their partners deal with fears and any past negative childbirth experiences, to prepare them to receive their next labor and birth with trust, peace, and joy.

She is delighted to serve families during such a special time in their lives and as she finished her midwifery training felt it wasn’t enough to help women in the homebirth setting alone.  She finds joy in helping women feel how important they are, and find the strength and ability that they have deep within, along with providing very personalized care. She feels blessed to provide services and support surrounding pregnancy and childbirth in all settings.

Alysia and her husband are parents to 6 children.  Alysia is a birth doula and post-partum doula for Bay Area Birth, and Liz’s assistant. Alysia has a passion for pregnancy and childbirth and has a fun, yet gentle, compassionate personality that makes her a wonderful doula and an asset to any expecting family.  She has a special gift for seeing what needs to be done without being told and is a natural in the childbirth setting. Alysia helps everyone around her feel important and loved.

Tiffani is an inspired photographer with a passion for capturing first moments and offering beautiful portraits. Tiffani owns TiffCphotography in Corpus Christi, TX.

Some call her crunchy. Tiffani prefers to call herself crunchy-in-training. She loves to be as natural as possible and that includes her lighting style.

Tiffani is giddy around pregnant moms and probably seem a bit crazy when she make silly sounds over and over about how cute their belly is. She might cry while photographing a birth, but it’s only because it brings her back to her own (two) c-sections and then my amazing water-home-birth. Being around newborns is amazing to her. It’s the same as planting a seed in the ground and of couple months later finding a living, fully-bloomed, producing plant. There is something miraculous about that energy that creates life and Tiffani sees and wants to capture that in pregnant moms, a beautiful birth and of course, the precious little newborn.
